Diane Lesley is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor. She has worked for District of Columbia Public Schools as a School Psychologist for 11 years. She previously held that role in Detroit Public Schools and Cobb County Public Schools (Georgia). Ms. Lesley is passionate about helping people of all ages embrace their strengths and reach their potential. She loves working with people, getting to know them and their dreams for the future. Ms. Lesley feels honored to be able to help them develop the skills that can support them on the journey towards those dreams.
Life today is challenging for young people and adults. The stress and anxiety that we experience can keep us from doing our best and may cause us to respond in ways that may make things worse. It can also have negative consequences for our important relationships. In this 3-part workshop, you will learn informal mindfulness skills that can help you effectively manage stress and anxiety, control your actions, and choose to respond rather than react. You will experience mindfulness as a practice that helps you remain focused and balanced even in the most challenging of times.
